How does a “Paint the town Red” paint and sip night work?
You should expect a fun, social and unique night! Simply bring your friends, purchase a drink from our bar, and enjoy our relaxed and fun environment where each class features a specific painting that our talented artist will teach you to paint step-by-step. Come alone, come with a date, come with friends! At the end of the session, you will have a masterpiece to take home with you and many fun memories.
What is included in the cost of the session?
The price includes everything you will need for the 2-hour session, except whatever you would like to drink. This includes a 40 x 50cm blank stretched canvas, paint, brushes, easel, apron, glassware for your beverages, and one of our artists to help you through the session. Food and drinks are not included in the price. Drinks can be purchased from our bar at reasonable prices, and you may bring along a platter or nibbles to enjoy on the night.
Should I book my seat in advance?
We have limited seating, so we do require booking in advance. Seats are limited to 36 people and include physical distancing requirements in line with government regulations. Please check out our bookings page to check availability.
What time should I arrive and how long are the sessions?
Our nightly sessions start at 6:00pm, Saturday afternoon sessions start at 3:00pm. Each session runs for 2 hours. Our doors open 20 minutes before each session. We ask that you arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your session’s start time so you can grab your apron and paints, pour a drink and settle into your paint station.
If I come with a group or a friend, can we sit together?
Yes of course. If you book multiple seats, we will place all seats together at a table. If you are booking separately, let us know in the “Notes” section when booking. We will do everything in our power to help your night be fantastic.
Can I BYO Alcohol to your event?
No. We have a fully licensed bar, with a wide range of drinks at very reasonable prices.
What do I wear to a paint party?
Please wear comfortable clothing, as you will be sitting on a stool for approx. 2 hours. We will provide aprons to protect your clothes from paint, although we recommend that you wear something that you will not mind if a little paint splashes on – accidents do happen. When acrylic paint dries, it does not come out of clothing so please wear something you feel comfortable painting in. We are not responsible for damages should any paint end up on your clothing or personal items.
Do I have to paint the same thing as the artist that evening?
No way! While our artist will only focus on the steps for one painting per session, we encourage you to put your own creativity into your artwork. Change the colours, the shapes or paint your own original design. Remember the night is about having fun and being inspired.
What is your cancellation policy?
Individual and small group bookings: Unfortunately, we cannot process refunds for cancellations, however we can reschedule your booking for another session or give you party credit for use at another time. If you do not contact us by the start of the painting session, your payment will be forfeited.
Sales are final, however, if you are unable to make it, you can transfer your ticket to someone else or reschedule for another event. Seven days notice must be given if you wish to reschedule.
We understand people get sick and unexpected things happen in life however in order for us to manage our seating and run a successful business it is important that we adhere to our policy.

Can I purchase alcohol or food from “Paint the town Red”?
Yes, you can buy drinks, the only food we have available is bags of chips. You may bring along your own food platters and nibbles.
Can I book a private party or function? Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes! “Paint the town Red” is the perfect atmosphere for your next private event. We cater for Team Building Events, Hen Parties, Baby showers, Birthday Parties and other social parties, as well as Christmas Parties. What are you interested in? Please note requested event dates and time may not always be available due to other bookings so we recommend making your enquiry and paying the deposit as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment (we suggest at least 4 weeks prior).
When you book a private party we will send you the available selection of paintings for you to choose what you would like your group to paint or we can customise a special design for the event.
To secure your date and time, we require a non-refundable deposit ($135) to be paid within 7 days of your enquiry. If we do not receive the deposit or a reply within a week from contacting you, we will assume your event is cancelled and may book another event or group on your requested date and time.
If you are interested in a private function on different day or time than those advertised, we do have some flexibility. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can accommodate your request.
Can I purchase a gift voucher?

Is there an age limit for the Paint parties?
You must be 18+ to attend a public night session. Children aged 8+ are welcome to paint during Saturday afternoon sessions with an accompanying painting adult, no exception.
People can only consume alcohol who are over the age of 18. Please be considerate of our environment and drink responsibly. Any person deemed intoxicated, engaging in underage drinking or being disruptive will be asked to leave the premises and liable for any damages
Will my painting be ready to take home by the end of the class?
Yes. We have designed the class so that your painting will be completed in the time allowed. Acrylic paint dries fast, however, there may be a few areas that are still not quite dry before you leave.
What type of paint do you use?
We use high quality, no fumes, non-toxic and completely safe Derivan studio acrylic paints. We use acrylic paint as they dry quickly and you can easily build up layers to create the desired effects.
I am running late to my Class. Can I still come?
Yes; however, please be advised that the class starts on time and it is not always feasible for our artist to spend one-on-one time with you to cover what you have missed.
Are your venues wheelchair accessible?
Yes. We have ramp access, and a disabled toilet.
I have never painted before. Will I be able to complete my painting?
Yes! Our artist will guide you through every step of the painting. People are a lot more creative than they think. All of our projects are fun and designed for beginners; just relax, have fun, enjoy the new experience and we guarantee you will leave the class with a completed work of art.
I have previous painting experience. Are the Classes strictly for beginners?
No, some participants come to the classes because it provides easy access to painting supplies and there is no long-term commitment. Advanced painters are encouraged to wander off the beaten path and take the painting to wherever their creativity is calling.
How do I book a private painting party?
There is a booking tab on our website. We will email you to confirm availability, party details, and secure your deposit. Please allow 1-3 business days to respond to booking request and inquiries. One week prior to your party date, we will confirm all details.
