About The Event

In these classes you will work with approx 400 gram clay balls (tennis ball size) and learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, trimming and glazing.  Sessions will run every Wednesday night from 5:30 - 7:30 for 3 weeks, then with a week off for bisque firing, followed by a final week for glazing. (4 x classes over 5 weeks) No previous experience is necessary. All materials are supplied including good quality stoneware clay, firing and a wide selection of food-safe glazes. The focus will be on making a series of small bowls suitable for dips and impressing your friends, but you will be encouraged to follow your own creative urge with your work. Most students end up with around a dozen lovely glazed pieces. More information will be sent through upon registration.
